Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before processing sensitive information for certain purposes. Where consent is our legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time, but withdrawal will not affect processing that already occurred before withdrawal. If you withdraw consent, certain features or the entire Service may no longer function for you.
9. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information as follows:
A. Within the Service and to Other Users
Depending on your settings and how you use the Service, we may disclose certain profile information, posts, transcript excerpts, text content, emotional tags, support requests, reactions, comments, or other content to other users, followers, group members, or the broader community.

10. No Sale of Personal Information; Targeted Advertising; Sharing
We do not currently sell personal information in exchange for money as that term is traditionally understood. However, some privacy laws define "sell," "share," or "targeted advertising" broadly. If our practices are deemed to constitute a sale, share, or targeted advertising under applicable law, you may have the right to opt out as described in Section 13.
11. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain archives, support community features, complete transactions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the Service, and maintain appropriate records.

If you delete content or delete your account, we may remove or anonymize information from active systems, but we may retain copies in backups, logs, archives, legal files, fraud-prevention systems, de-identified data sets, or other records as permitted or required by law. Content previously shared with other users may remain visible to them, subject to the functionality of the Service.
12. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, authentication protections, logging, and vendor management. However, no method of transmission, storage, or security is perfect, and we do not guarantee absolute security.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge that you provide information at your own risk and that the Company is not responsible for circumvention of any privacy or security measures unless caused by our violation of applicable law.
13. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may deny or limit requests where permitted by law, including where we cannot verify your identity, where an exception applies, where fulfilling the request would require disproportionate effort, or where the request would adversely affect the rights or safety of others.
To exercise a privacy request, contact us at [email protected]. You may also submit requests using any in-app tools we make available.
If we deny your request and you have a right to appeal under applicable law, you may appeal by replying to our response or emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."

California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information, subject to legal exceptions. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide the Service, operate our business, detect security incidents, prevent fraud, maintain quality and safety, perform services on our behalf, and other purposes permitted by law, unless we provide additional notice and any required choice.

We may process sensitive data with your consent where required by law. If required by applicable law, you may revoke that consent through settings we provide or by contacting us, although revocation may limit your access to certain features.
Colorado residents may appeal a denial of a privacy request using the method described in Section 13.
16. International Transfers
We are based in the United States, and your information may be collected, processed, stored, accessed, or transferred in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. By using the Service, you understand and acknowledge such transfers, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.
Where required, we may use appropriate transfer mechanisms recognized by applicable law.
17. Account Deletion and Content Removal
You may request deletion of your account by using in-app tools, where available, or by contacting us. Deleting your account may remove access to your archive, entries, communities, purchases, and account-related information.

18. Ownership, License, and Derived Data
As between you and the Company, you retain whatever rights you may have in content you submit, subject to the rights you grant us.
By submitting, recording, uploading, posting, transmitting, or otherwise providing content or information through the Service, you grant the Company and its affiliates, service providers, successors, and assigns a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, process, analyze, display, perform, distribute, and otherwise use such content as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, improve, secure, develop, market, and commercialize the Service and related products and services, subject to your settings and this Privacy Policy.

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, websites, platforms, processors, or tools. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of those third parties. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and privacy policies, not ours.
20. Do Not Track and Similar Signals
Some browsers and devices may offer "Do Not Track" or similar settings. Because there is not yet a universally accepted standard for responding to such signals across all environments, our response may vary unless applicable law requires a particular response.
